Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the Frij mobile application (the “app”). By downloading or using Frij, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

1. What Frij does

Frij lets you photograph your fridge or pantry, uses AI to identify ingredients, and suggests recipes based on what it finds. Results are generated automatically and are provided for convenience only.

Important — food, allergens & safety. Frij’s ingredient detection and recipes are generated by AI and may be incomplete or wrong. Do not rely on Frij to identify allergens, spoilage, or whether a food is safe to eat. Always check labels and use your own judgment, especially if you have allergies, dietary restrictions, or medical conditions. Frij is not medical, nutritional, or food-safety advice.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Frij for your own non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the Apple App Store Terms of Service.

3. Frij+ subscription

Frij offers an optional paid subscription (“Frij+”) that unlocks additional usage and features.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Prices are shown in the app before you purchase.
Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store’s policies; we cannot issue refunds directly.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, including: reverse-engineering it, using it to violate any law, attempting to overload or disrupt our backend, or submitting content you don’t have the right to submit.

5. Intellectual property

The app, its design, and its content (excluding your own photos and inputs) are owned by Frij and protected by law. These Terms don’t transfer any of our intellectual property to you.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

Frij is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We don’t warrant that results will be accurate or that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Frij will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of — or reliance on — the app, including any food-related decision. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Termination

You may stop using Frij at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where the operator of Frij is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
