Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Frij mobile application (“Frij”, the “App”) provided by Gabriel Nejad (“we”, “us”). By using the App you agree to these Terms.

The short version

A summary, not the agreement — the sections below are what actually applies.

Check your own foodFrij’s suggestions are AI and can be wrong. Allergens, freshness and food safety are on you.
Frij+ renews itselfAuto-renewing until you turn it off, which you do in your App Store settings.
Apple handles the moneyPurchases and refunds go through Apple. We never see your payment details.
Florida law appliesThese Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.

License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and these Terms.

Subscriptions and billing

  • Frij offers auto-renewing subscriptions (“Frij Plus”) purchased through Apple in-app purchase.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You manage and cancel subscriptions in your device’s App Store account settings, not within the App.
  • Prices are shown in the App before purchase and may vary by region. Except where required by law or Apple’s policies, payments are non-refundable; refund requests are handled by Apple.

Food, allergen, and nutrition disclaimer

Important. Frij uses AI to identify ingredients and suggest recipes. These suggestions may be inaccurate or incomplete. Frij does not guarantee that a recipe is safe for you, free of allergens, or suitable for any medical, dietary, or religious requirement. Ingredient detection from a photo can be wrong. You are solely responsible for checking ingredients, allergens, freshness, and food safety before cooking or eating. Frij does not provide medical, nutritional, or professional dietary advice. If you have allergies or health conditions, consult a qualified professional.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App, including attempting to disrupt or overload our services, reverse engineer the App except as permitted by law, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

Intellectual property

The App and its content (excluding your own inputs) are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. Generated dish images are provided for use within the App.

Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that suggestions will meet your requirements.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any damages arising from your reliance on recipe or ingredient suggestions. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

Changes

We may update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You and we agree that any dispute arising out of these Terms or the App will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Florida, except that either of us may bring an individual claim in small-claims court.
